Photojournalist Kirsten Elstner, Fairview alum, reaches youngsters around the world

Like a flower seed planted in a Dixie cup in daycare and specified to Mother on Mother’s Day, the concept for a profession sort of grew up with Kirsten Elstner. 

Now, at 56, Elstner, whose maiden name is Bremmer, has taken her life activities and produced VisionWorkshops. It resulted from her escalating up with trade pupils from Brazil and Chili, writing at Fairview High School, performing with pictures from Allegheny School, a college semester in Europe, a write-up-college graduation backpacking excursion to Australia and Southeastern Asia, and her own startling senses of push and journey. 

Her eyesight for the program has received her the 3rd Distinguished Alumni award from the Fairview School Foundation.

She graduated in 1982 from Fairview and in 1986 from Allegheny.

“The award was created by the faculty foundation to recognize the perform that our alumni are carrying out all around the globe,” said Justin Zona, director of curriculum, instruction and evaluation for the Fairview Faculty District.
