“100 Flowers” is a collection of more than 100 visuals, highlighting quite a few yrs of Barbara’s passion for capturing the magnificence of these wonders of nature. “A Few Trees” attributes blossoming wiliwili trees beneath the Milky Way Galaxy. Some of the proceeds from the sale of the wiliwili visuals will reward the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative’s hard work to conserve and reforest this ecosystem. “The Very long Views” is a sequence of panoramic illustrations or photos intended to inspire people getting the “long view” toward the potential, primarily towards the 50th anniversary Yr of the Waimea Arts Council in 2024. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the panoramic illustrations or photos will gain the Arts Council endowment fund.
This is the kick-off event for this fundraising work to ensure the Waimea Arts Council’s viability into the long term. There will be exciting gatherings through the month like “Ask a Botanist and Tree Giveaway” on July 31, a closing celebration from 3 to 5 p.m. July 31, and a entertaining month-lengthy contest for a photograph give-absent.
“My job and travels have afforded me alternatives to be in awesome spots during special situations, looking at views and situations many others seldom have the opportunity to practical experience. My objective is to see and seize visuals in a unique mild, to observe particulars many others could possibly skip. Sharing these photos, supplying others the chance to also see, encounter, and delight in them, is, for me, the most worthwhile element of pictures,” Schaefer stated. “A photograph is prosperous if it captures and communicates the perception of location and emotions the photographer is going through or if it sets the viewer’s creativeness free to roam, wander and surprise. The craft of pictures is getting the exposure, concentration, and composition as planned. The art of photography is capturing times, ordeals, and inner thoughts. I am normally striving to increase both of those my art and my craft.”
